Omigawa Chiaki does Vertical Sit-ups Up a Guy's Back

I wasn't sure whether to post this video or not. It certainly shows the slightly off-color weirdness of some Japanese TV. But after seeing the video of Katou Emiri and Gotou Saori having their feet nibbled by fish (thanks, Furuba-tan), I can't resist.

Omigawa Chiaki and three less well-known seiyuu are on a show where they are supposed to reveal one of their special talents. Omigawa-san demonstrates her strong leg and stomach muscles by doing vertical sit-ups...up the host's back. Shinjirarenai!

Omigawa-san has studied ballet, and is a brown belt in Shorinji Kempo martial arts, a Japanese form of Chinese Shaolin marital arts. She pulls this trick off with ease, and is smilingly able to preserve at least some of her dignity.

Ota-suke News.

Not sure whether to post it?
It's seiyuu related AND it's hilarious.
I mean, in my eyes it's stuff like this that actually tell us something about the seiyuus as persons.

Thank god you posted it because it is jaw dropping and mind blowing!! That takes some serious core strength, try that in the gym and u'll see just how difficult it is! That just made me a fan.

I haven't been that blown away by anything since I heard Percee P's verse on "Yes, You May."

The host is probably never going to have back problems for the rest of his life now. :-)

Ladies and gentlemen, give a round of applause for Japan... the only country where you can watch beautiful young women doing sit-ups up older men's backs. If THAT isn't keeping it real, I don't know what is.

Oh, the video just gives off a joyful vibe. I'll have to look out for this seiyuu now.

@SayuriMatsuri -- Good decription: "joyful vibe." She's currently playing Minko in Hanasaku Iroha. She starred as Arashi last fall in Soredemo Machi ga Mawatteiru. Her full list of roles is here.

Mind-blowing, indeed, especially to do it with such ease, smiling away.

I've always liked her seiyuu work, but when she uses her deeper voice, it has a blunt, amateurish quality that many otaku just hate. I think she's hilarious in SoreMachi, and also in Seitokai Yakuindomo, where she plays a side role as the judo club president.

I see from Japanese Wikipedia that she has several nicknames: Chiaki, Chii-chan, Chiaki-chan (called that by Sanpei Yuuko), Oomii, Omigasu, Omigawa (by older seiyuu), and Omigawa-kun (by Sawashiro Miyuki). I like that last one, lol, especially considering that she's pretty glamorous. (-kun is the suffix used to refer to male students.)
