Sakamichi no Apollon -- characters/seiyuus, pics/info

For me, the first episode of Sakamichi no Apollon was hands-down the best first ep of the season so far.

It's a noitaminA show, and it was so outstanding that it had me thinking of Honey and Clover -- for quality, not for content. Not many shows can give me this hollow emotional feeling in my chest. It's like a physical indication of dramatic quality, for me.

I have never been able to get far into Cowboy Bebop, but if this is the level of Watanabe Shinichirou's work, I'll try again. The flow of the scenes and the flow of the story were both excellent. And so was just about everything else, including the voice-acting.

Seiyuu video: Yuuki Aoi beats Sugita Tomokazu and Nakamura Yuuichi at the game Sonic Adventure 2

We continue to get proof that Yuuki Aoi really is the game otaku she claims to be. This time, appearing on Sugita Tomokazu and Nakamura Yuuichi's game-centred TV show Tokyo Encounter, she beats them both at Sonic Adventure 2.

Later, however, they bring out Left 4 Dead, and she doesn't do so well. When they suggest the game, she looks at it dubiously and asks: "Is it cute?" Yes, yes, it's cute, says Sugita. Lol. Cute if you find blood and gore cute.

In this video, a five-minute clip from the show, we first see her laughing uproariously at everyone's plush animal suits. The show was recorded just before Christmas.

Pic of Nazuka Kaori's New Baby

Last year, seiyuu Nazuka Kaori announced that she had been married. Now she posts a picture of her new daughter, born earlier this year.

Do I see a hint of mama's dimples there? I think I see mama's wide mouth and big smile.

Nazuka-san turns 27 in 12 days. Her most famous role is as Eureka in Eureka Seven. Among other roles, she has played Nunnaly in Code Geass, Hiromi in true tears, Kaja in Natsu no Arashi, and Tsukasa in AmagamiSS.

From all I have read, Kamo-san (her nickname) appears to be a strong, positive woman, with an interest in sports such as skiing, scuba diving, and fishing.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san -- characters/seiyuus pics/info

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is hands down the funniest show of the new season so far. A cute girl who is really an ancient god of chaos, from the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. And that's just the start of the absurdity.

Asumi Kana was great as Poplar in Working!!, and as Yuno in Hidamari Sketch, but Nyaruko may be Asumisu's best role yet.

Kitamura Eri is also terrific as the male main character. And Kugyu's in the cast, too, as well as Hisakawa Aya. Click here or on the image to go to the full page showing the main characters and their seiyuus, and giving info about each:
